1968 FORD FAIRLANE 500 CONVERTIBLE

Offered is a 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 convertible. It appears as a 1969 Torino GT without bucket seats,as tail lights and grille have been changed.Body and interior were done in 2009 and show pretty well but not perfect. The 4.6L SOHC engine and 4 speed automatic are from a 1995 Crown Victoria with 93000 km on the ODO.Newer P.I. heads were installed to raise compression. On top is an Edelbrock Victor Jr.intake and a Holley 390 CFM carb.Spark is controlled by a MSD Mod6 Generation III unit.4R70W O D trans is controlled by a Baumann Optishift unit.Front suspension has also been altered to allow the 4.6 oil pan to fit.It is a power rack & pinion Mustang II type front end ,with disc brakes and allows the car to handle very well.Brakes, tires, wheels, mufflers, tank sender, back window and radiator were all new.Have receipts for over $12000 for suspension and related work plus another $10000 for other rebuild expenses. My labor is free. The car came from Seattle area prior to my purchase in 2009 and has been inspected and registered in Alberta.Noticably not done is the top and window rubbers.I don’t believe there are any surprises hidden in this car ,except maybe what happens when you step on the gas pedal. It’s not a 289 any more.
